#Supporters Edition not working

I'm not sure if it is an important detail but the supporters edition doesn't show up in my steam DLC's which I feel like has something to do with it.

what benefits are "not working"?

For the suit, you have to have some ren - any amount - to unlock it. It's still free, but the logic still needs some value of currency. So just drop into Beachhead on Olympus and fly out (it rewards like 30 ren) and that should work.

If the outposts are also locked, then there's something else going on. When you first launch the game, at the Play screen, you can hit ` (in the upper left of the keyboard) and get a list of the recognized licenses that the game sees. Paste that here if you want help, but it should be clear when the Cohort suit and other stuff is licensed.
