#game crashing quite often

Make sure you verify the game files in Steam - Properties
Hope this helps. If not let me know.
verifying never helps. i have been getting this same issue for a while and its really really annoying
For starters, I recommend setting the OS swap file size to FIXED SIZE 32 GB. The swap file must be on the SSD. It is advisable to have at least 32 GB of physical RAM.
Here, the problems will not be in Icarus, but in Unreal 4, on which the game is built, the thing is that this game engine loves a lot of RAM and, oddly enough, large swap files.
If you are playing on DX12 and you are starting to crash, then be sure to put a 32GB swap file. Or try switching to DX11.
whats a swap file? and how do i extend it? i have 32GB of ram
hmm, i am on dx 11, but like this guy said, what is swap file
Go to Google.com and put string "windows 10 swap file size" , there will be a lot of links to sites with tips. For sample https://recoverhdd.com/blog/swap-file-in-windows.html
does this have to be on the drive where icarus is installed?? or c drive
Swapfile must always (actually mandatory) be located on the system drive -> C:
Yes, I know that there are options for placement on other disks, but it's better not to do this.
Only system drive c: (FIXED SIZE)
so here?
Yes.
Both values are 32768 (Initial and Maximum) -> this is “FIXED SIZE”
How much physical Ram do you have? 16 GB?
Ok.
I recommend that you turn off memory compression.
In google.com ‘windows 10 disable compressed memory’ Link for sample https://www.elevenforum.com/t/enable-or-disable-memory-compression-in-windows-10-and-windows-11.3555/
I've read on the Hogwarts Legacy forums (which runs on the same Unreal 4 engine as Icarus) that 'compressed memory' caused some lags and some even crashed. (unstable working)
Disabling compressed memory helped many people.
Push 'Set' and push 'Ok'
On last screenshot i don`t see changes in info at the bottom of the page
'Currently allocated' must be changed to 32768
Similar that
