what's the error from the crash?
it says theres a problem with the unreal engine.
yes, and there will be a lot of information on that screen. some of it may be helpful in figuring out what the underlying issue is.
the process's that are shuting down are 3 letters omp or something like that. owp maybe I forgete.
theres a scrreen shot someone took that looks exactly liker wha i see.
vertigohunter has the screen shots
okay, the UE4 crash report has two parts, the upper part which is mostly useless, and the lower part which starts with something like UNHANDLED EXCEPTION or something else and then goes into a list of specific files with errors. the start of that lower part is what we need. The information contained in YOUR SPECIFIC CRASH is important; just because it looks like someone else's in general terms doesn't mean it's an identical error. just take a screenshot of it next time and post it here.
how dp i take a screen shot of it?
windows has a thing called the Snipping Tool which is easiest. or you can hit windowskey-shift-s and grab part of the screen. or other methods depending on what you have installed.
ok may take a few days. I ws just going to bed when you ansered. The tech reps on the new windows 11 machine want me to reinstall windows and run some commands. Which is greek to me. My son is coming over on his next day off to do that. I'l post it here as soon as it happens a gain unless the reinstall fixes it.
anyone who is telling you to reinstall windows to fix a game is... suspect at best.
but do whatever you're comfortable with 🙂
thanks for your help and time

okay, if you open up a file explorer window and right-click on "this pc" or "my pc" or whatever it says, then "properties", it should give you a screen like this, which is a good place to start.

the more detailed crash stuff wouldn't help me, but might help an RW dev if they drop in at some point.
I don't have the tools/wherewithall to process that data.
