It was Playing just fine Yesterday... How do I get back in, Where, ALL MY GEAR IS..

jovial pivot
#

were you playing with someone else?

steel tangle
#

no solo

jovial pivot
#

locally or on a DS?

steel tangle
#

just it down to eat dinner this is what I came back to..

#

i play on my Tower RTX 3070

jovial pivot
#

okay, but was the prospect hosted in-game locally or using a dedicated server?

steel tangle
#

No server.. just locally

jovial pivot
#

go to %localappdata%\icarus\saved\playerdata\

#

then into the folder with your SteamID number, then Prospects.

#

using the last modified date/time, you should be able to see the prospect you were running and that it's there.

#

ok

jovial pivot
#

the options are 1) exit icarus and try again, using the "load" and not "resume". should still take you back in where you left off. if that doesn't work,
2) try renaming the current prospect file "whatever.json" to "whatever.json.old", then rename the most recent backup "whatever.json.backup" to "whatever.json" and try to start it again. you'll lose up to 30 minutes' progress in the prospect, but if there's an issue with the file, it should hopefully fix it.

I fopund the july 1 jason file.. now what?

#

and another one with back ups as well

#

should I delete the single json file, keeping the with the Back ups?

#

I had 2 json files but only one with attached back ups.. I kept those and deleted the single file

jovial pivot
#

uh, you don't need to delete anything, necessarily. each named JSON is a different prospect; if you edit it with a text editor, you can see a bit more information. but the one you were doing yesterday or earlier would be the important one.

#

but all you need to do is, as I said, remove or rename the .json version, then rename the .json.backup to just .json.

ok I put it back..
