Ive written about 3 issues, mission crashes in open world and the fact that I lost all characters and gear when returning to the game after half a year or so and also the missions without credit reward. I've said that I wanted help with this, and also asked for some compensation for these things. At least for the mission that didn't pay credits. Today I found my post deleted. What could be the reason?

I'm not sure what rulesets the mods have put in place for Dyno, but it could be that your message contained too many caps, too many repetitive characters (multiple ellipses for example), etc.

  • For your question regarding your characters disappearing after not playing for some time (give the message a read and feel free to ask any questions): #how-to-icarus message
  • Folks have reported not receiving credit for mission completion (monetary reward and missing the check in the mission tree) after last weeks patch. A fix was sent out on 4/17, but it did not resolve the issue for missions in progress. I can give you the data needed to mark the mission as completed, but that would need to be discussed via DM's.
  • If you're on the latest version and your OW continues to crash, you may need to reinstate a back-up. To reinstate a backup, paste %localappdata%\Icarus\Saved\PlayerData\ into the address bar of File Explorer. Once there, you'll see a folder with a long string of numbers (your Steam ID) and inside it a folder labeled Prospects. The Prospect folder contains Prospects you are currently on along with backups of each. In that folder, you'll see two versions of a file with a name matching that of your OW. Delete .backup from the extension of the file you want to use and rename the original to something like OW_NAME_HERE.json.original. Once you're done, boot up Icarus to see if it worked.

Oh ty very much! Now im able to fix everything myself. That usually works out better for me 😉 And yes it worked. It actually fixxed all my issues. My characters are now back, and all equipment is as it were before I lost it all. No more no less. And mission has it checkmark now. If I ever meet u January in RL ill buy ya a beer for this ❤️ Ty!
