Your data is local, in %localappdata%\Icarus\Saved\PlayerData. If it vanished for some reason, that would have had to have been because of something you did locally. However, make sure you aren't using Run as Administrator on the Icarus executable, as that will cause several problems (including being unable to access your existing data).

the "run as administrator" setting is on the executable; launching from the steam library doesn't actually change how it runs. Check the executable, make sure the option isn't checked.
I don't know that the setting did change. I said to make sure you aren't using it, because 1) it happens and 2) that causes the game to break communication with Steam. You're free to ignore me if you like.

okay, so whatever old information you had is gone. Nothing can be done about it at this point.
that location is where the data saves. It doesn't get removed when you uninstall. So either you deleted it at some point, or something else happened with it. But it's pretty much impossible to say now.
