Need help adding MX records to Railway-purchased domain (or transferring domain before 60 days) | Railway | Page 1

Hey Railway team 👋 I'm building an app on Railway and chose to buy my domain through Railway too to keep everything in one place. Loving the platform so far.

Bit stuck though... I'm ready to launch but I can't set up email for my domain because there's no way to add MX/TXT records. I didn't realise this limitation when I purchased through Railway. The 60-day transfer lock means I'm kind of blocked on launch since I need a professional email to go live.

The records I need added:

MX: mx1.improvmx.com (priority 10)
MX: mx2.improvmx.com (priority 20)
TXT: v=spf1 include:spf.improvmx.com ~all

Would really appreciate any help - even if it's just someone on the team adding these for me. This is the one thing stopping me from going live. 🙏

We do not support adding records, or transfering the domain out of Railway, but we can refund the domain so that you can purchase this domain through Cloudflare.

Thank you for the quick response. If you refund/release the domain, will it be immediately available for me to purchase on Cloudflare? Or is there a waiting period? Can we coordinate timing to minimise any gap?

Should be pretty immediate, if not, a few days, certainly not 60.

I have the same issue, can not add dns records, never had a domain purchased that could not be managed at all. Strange situation. How can I get a epp code for moving this domain?
