I'm using the SurrealDB 2.x template along with my github repo. When I create a variable reference pointing to ${{"SurrealDB 2.x".SURREAL_PRIVATE_URL}} (a variable defined in the SurrealDB 2.x template) for example, it evaluates to <empty string>.

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Is this a template specific issue? Am I not understanding the platform and how to use it because I’m fairly new with Railway?

Any Variable Reference used in my project returns empty string

I’ve confirmed that the variables being referenced have values set in the SurrealDB 2.x instance. I just can’t use them in my repo instance.

You have periods in the name of the service

That’s how Railway presents it to me in the UI, All I did was click the variable reference in the dropdown menu

#

The service name includes a period, how should I resolve this?

#

Is it possible to rename the service?
