hi, after creating my deployed postgres iconnected via pg admin and created two dbs, is that okay or I should've been using the database "railway" that was created?

The Postgres databases aren't anything special, you are free to create databases with whatever names you want.
The only thing to note is that the databases data tab will only show the railway database, but since you are already using pgadmin there's nothing that the data tab is going to be able to do better than pgadmin
