what are your motives for switching?

switching to credit based doesn't solve that? you will still be charged 5$ a month (since your 2.5$ in usage is covered by the 5$ in usage credits)
in fact its a less ideal situation, since you can only load 10$ as the minimum

right so you load every 2 months, i dont see how this solves your problem

i dont know, i think its pretty clear that the hobby plan costs 5$

theres only hobby/pro/enterprise as shown by the pricing page

people are afraid if getting charged for a ddos or something like an infinite loop in their code

• railway emails you about your high resource usage, you fix bug, resource usage goes back down
  getting hit with an unknown bill is only possible if you never check your emails

well its slightly hard for me to answer something i have no experience with, but going solely off the fact that you get a 3 day grace period on late payments, id say you would have time to switch plans yourself without downtime

of course if you did want to go through with it, I would bring in ray to give us an accurate answer
