Railway Hobby Plan Migration

Hello folks,

I've been a Railway user since early 2023 and have an active developer plan as per below snapshots.

On the migration blog, it states that verified users via GitHub connected accounts will be auto-migrated from developer to the hobby plan without having to pay the 5$ monthly fee.

As such, my profile is connected with GitHub and my GitHub account is active with 6years usage record ( for ref - https://github.com/binaryshrey) and my Railway profile shows verify check-mark as per below snapshot.

However, on the dashboard it says, "Switch to the hobby plan to continue using Railway" and upon clicking on the switch - I get a popup saying - "You need a credit balance of at least $10. Add credits to move to the hobby plan"

Interestingly, on the contact page it says - "as a hobby user, you're eligible for community support .."

My question is:

• Am I already part of the Hobby plan?
• If yes, do I need to add more credits to make sure the balance is atleast $10? ( current balance is $5)
• If no, do I still have to pay for the $5 subscription, even on having a verified account?

Yep, it then navigates to the /accounts/usage URI where I've a credit balance of $5 currently (had added a one one-time pre-paid credit of $5 when I first signed up on railway)

So, I had only added a one time $5 credit to move to the developer plan once and since my resource usage is never greater than $5, I did not ever pay a non-zero bill (thanks to the monthly railway credit of $5 worth resources)

there we go, that's the text I was looking for, the credit based plan's UI is so different from the usage based plan's UI

you will have the fee waived, you just need to load 10$ in credits because that's the minimum credits you can load

However, since i already have $5 in credit - would have loved to add only $5more to make it $10 worth credit to access the hobby plan

I don't know why the minimum is 10, but it is what it is lol

better than it telling you that you wouldn't have the fee waived, then I would have had to tell you that that decision was programmatically made and final
