#Explain why we have to leave toxin-free places

As per the game narrative, the reason why the villagers and Onbu move appears to be that they both want to go away from toxins.

Yet, when Onbu and its villagers reach a perfectly safe place without toxins, they do not stay in that place.

It does not make any sense.

It would be great to add some narrative explanation or in-game events explaining why the villagers and Onbu need to get back on the move everytime.

By perfectly save space you mean sleeping and eating spots, right?

Yes, places without toxins.

I thought it was because the spores spread fast from what we seen in the map, the spore clouds and them traveling on water, but I could be wrong

With the feeding spot I guess the answer is that Onbu ate all the mushrooms, maybe by lying on the soft squishy sleeping spot Onbu crushes the ones that are releasing antitoxin spores...

I look at this a little differently. I think it might be good to have an anti-toxin end game goal where you need to keep a spore cleaner up constantly for some time while onbu travels.

maybe the toxin free spaces aren't good for humans long term? like it's fine for a day or two but longer could have negative effects?

Resources running out rapidly is the most sensible and likely explanation. It's the same reason why elephants are constantly on the move. If they stayed in one place, they would completely strip it of vegetation in a matter of weeks or even days.

Make it mysterious imo, add some vague narrative that relates to for example stories of onbu great migrations, or a promised land (a safe haven of sorts) and that's where onbu is ultimately heading, even if you can steer him around a bit.

Large animals cannot lie in one spot forever. Their hearts need the open and close of the foot/unshod hoof to help pump blood back to the heart. Cows will die very quickly from lying on their own legs too long. Onbu can't afford to stay in one place forever

Also, it’s a basic feature of the spores that they spread and move. Even they you find a place without spores, it probably won’t be safe forever.
