Recently i realized i lost my passion for coding, for months now, mainly due to putting a ton of effort into my projects that went nowhere, mostly my fault, but one of them was like 1k lines but my friend is being so lazy and not doing his part, but that's irrelevant, i am just tired of constant failure, and idk it's just, not fun anymore

#

Maybe i should just learn to take more Ls but idk

coding is so stressful. I was gonna take that path but decided I didn't want to lose my hair at my early 20s so I changed it. I'm not far away from it though. I think you just need a break. It's not really surprising if that thing keeps on disappointing you

If you really love it, your passion will come back.

#

So my advice is, don't reignite your passion, let it happen naturally and give yourself a break.

no worries~ also you don't have to put in such timeline. things can take time, but if you feel like you need to address something bigger, removing all distractions and giving yourself really the time to think helps. well that's what i do, i literally ask my boss for time offs even one day is enough and i'd spend the whole day just realigning myself.
good luck and don't give up!

To be honest, our passions change throughout time. What I used to be passionate about, I guess sorta changed as I grew older. I’m not saying it’s impossible, as I still do things I love even with old passions for it, but it’s definitely a lot harder to grasp.

I used to love to craft, I loved to build stuff from construction paper and i will always cherish my mood boards for it, but I also know, I no longer had time to do it and on top of that, while I am still creative, my passions lied on other hobbies like poetry. Because of crafting I was able to find more adventurous topics and ideas to pursue in writing.

Don’t give up hope would be my first tip and second tip, just be patient with it. Some things are meant to be in time, you just have to reconnect with the spark that brought you there in the first place and not push yourself to find it.

@left zenith I feel ya man. I’ve been trudging through that myself awhile. I like what @celest snow says. Sometimes it’s time to try something new/different. Not only is it challenging to suck at something new (but then see progress), sometimes it can help with idea generation and rekindling other hobbies. Just a thought. Good luck!

You can't force yourself to like anything. If you don't like it no more or get bored with it than that's tough. Do something else. Simple.
