ok the solution I can think of is disabling the mod that's adding those extra slots that pop up, but since I'm not familiar with the mods in the pack I can't tell you which it is
just go trough the mods and their descriptions and if anything does something with slots disable that

Yea, and travelers backpack is compatible with it
But for some reason it won’t go in the back slot and I’m unsure why

I think that's actually how Travelers works. And to take it off you have to open it and press a button in the UI
