The only thing that comes to mind immediately that would go fast enough is something like sand or gravel falling

Or you can have a contraption where the floor just pivots out of the way and you fall, and at the last second before you hit the ground some water gets dispensed and you survive?

Wouldn't a gantry to move you up and down work and you could use redstone and a sequenced gearshift to move it

I'm unsure if it would be fast enough, but very well could, yes!
