#M300 control of buzzer on BTT TFT displays

Just a quick question. I'm running RRF 3.6.0 on my BTT E3 RRF v1.1 control board, and the latest FW for my BTT TFT35 E3 . Putting M300 in print files doesn't seem to drive the display on-board buzzer - should it, or do I need to connect a new buzzer directly to my control board? Thanks for any guidance.

That I don't know. Maybe @inland prairie can say whether it should work

M300 is handled by the TFT only if it is aware of such command. It has to be issued from the TFT or anything connected to one of its serial port. However it has its own caveat, it executes the M300 command that has to be forwarded to the motherboard, it won't react to an M300 coming from the motherboard.

Thank you so much for the clarification. I now won't waste my time looking into to fixing this. So if I want to sound an alert from a print file, I'll need to connect a buzzer to a suitable port on the motherboard. I was a bit confused because I saw references to the Paneldue responding to M300.

The paneldue does respond to M300
