IIRC the bose suspension idea was sparked by the design of their speaker drivers, so i assume someone at bose got the idea and said "screw it, let's make a car suspension system with these just for the heck of it" and then that came into existence. i believe it was also too expensive to put into cars which is likely why it never took off or was even sold. which is kind of weird because they could have at least pushed to have it put in luxury models
