Duplicated parts that clearly are not duplicated? ive checked all over for these supposed "duplicate" parts, they dont exist

not sure about the duplicate parts but I know some of my parts stopped showing up in 0.20 until I moved their JBeam files to the "common" folder because the slot was defined by a JBeam in the "common" folder and not the vehicle folder
its a custom slot to begin with, so no, that shouldnt be the issue
the car has a custom wheelbase, and it is using the correct rear suspension (its lined up) but the names are all like the regular legran, and im getting duplicate part errors
despite the file names being not the same as the base game parts
what's the deal with skin.materials.json? It seems if I make my own in my mod vehicle folder, it overwrites the default one so that only my skins work

this is kind of an opinion question for the devs/moderators. Right now for my hybrid system, I distribute all the Lua code with each hybrid mod (ETK and Citybus), even though it's 100% identical between the two. should I look into splitting the Lua code into its own mod and making that a dependency of the other two? that'd mean that if I release an update that includes both Lua and JBeam changes, it'd be three mod updates instead of two, but on the other hand, if I only need to make Lua changes, it'd be one instead of two. I'm not sure what's preferred from the devs' perspectives
the challenge comes with the controller/powertrain code; I'm not sure if the jbeam could load that from a common mod for each vehicle or not. maybe if it's in the common folder?
that'd also let other people use the hybrid code without shipping it themselves, which means if I update and it breaks their mod, their mod won't break mine.
I've seen people say on MFD that the devs are looking to see if they can do dependencies.
Because I agree it would be helpful for things.
My digidash is the same "issue"

You make a config with CTRL+W in game, you save it
Go in BeamNG.drive/vehicles/<vehicle name> and you'll find your configuration
Then you put the .pc file in your mod folder and you zip it
And the mod with a custom config is ready

Excuse me, can i clarify, is 2k the limit for shadow res, it's kinda low for me
it is, but you can adjust the size falloff of the shadow cascades in the sunsky options.
ie. you can tweak for resolution priority at lower or higher distances
also you can play with the "lastSplitTerrainOnly" checkbox which essentially gives you another cascade

well, the good news is that the meshes loaded ok the first time, but before they finished it froze the game with that physics pause thing
so at least the model works okay

the aerodynamics i think have changed a bit since then so hopefully it's still able to be airborn after fix
