And ya boi is in
I’m up in this biznitch
Loving the name
Likewise lol
(Also known as The Sorcerer's Stone to American audiences)
The movies woulda ended FAST is Harry Potter had a Glock (this is a joke comment, you can safely ignore)
If Harry Potter had it all switched up too?
And it ended that way? That’s a long clip turned into a short clip
Bro can you imagine flying in that car with a switched Glock
Ok, I derailed tf outta this so this’ll be my last comment on the Harry Potter topic in this thread:
Imagine that final battle but Harry Potter and friends were all switched up
My aunt keeps trying to give me Lives of The Stoics: From Zeno to Aurelius
As if I didn’t give her a copy of Meditations several years ago
Is Satre the only philosopher to lay it down like that orrrr
Nick Land was for sure doing some wild shit on meth, doing philosophical freak offs
Nick Land is an interesting one
funny enough I was going to ask about something he touches upon
As technology both decreases the hierarchical distinction of social structures/institutions and increases the breadth of possible cooperative forms, what do you think will be the drivers that favor one force versus the the other?
I wrote a thread on BluesSky on "The Myth of Sisyphus"

I remember seeing this channel and not really knowing what to type because I had so much to say about this. Today I actually got two tattoos and one of them was the philosopher's stone on one arm and a USB logo on the other
Nice!
I'd caution against posting identifiable information like that publicly, especially here.
sorry about that
No, no, you're free to post it. I'm just saying, you probably really don't want to post it here.
Tattoos are generally identifiable information, so you might be doxxing yourself.
Okay thank you. I completely understand.
Not sure whether this is relevant but Ive become much more spiritually inclined towards Buddhism
particularly the cyclical nature of exitence and the paradoxical goal of attaining nonexistence
to leave the cycle of reincarnation
I've been reading Society of the Spectacle by Guy Debord and was wondering if anybody kicking around here is particularly familiar with his work. I'm grasping the broad strokes, but there are a few points along the way that have given me pause, and I'm not sure if it's the wording in these particular instances, if there are sub points within that I'm not grasping, if the adderall is wearing off when I've gotten to these points, or if it's a combination of the above.
Would deeply appreciate if anybody would be interested in discussing with me, with the added caveat that until recently I avoided philosophy texts like the plague because I had only been exposed to Catholic philosophy which is.... frustrating
Philo (love) sophy (wisdom). The love for wisdom.
Question:
Without Googling the definition of wisdom, what is wisdom and, what does it mean (to you)?
@Overlever Wisdom comes through experience and knowledge; where those two overlap. There is education that some one can teach but the haven't had the experience. Teach me; I forget. Show me; I learn. Involve me; I understand.
I just read the first chapter of the Kybalion
Weird how I knew a lot about everything in chapter one, but never read the actual book until now. Some things I obviously didn't know but the biggest lesson for me in chapter one was, "The lips of wisdom are closed, except to the ears of understanding". The emphasis on secrecy.
