I may have photos from the time of WW II in SE Asia, particularly, Indonesia as my family have lived through the Japanese occupation there. But I will have to see what when I’m visiting my father again in Fryslân. A lot unfortunately has also gone lost. Also old magazines from then that had photos in them.

It is why I got these pictures. My grandfather was UDT in Korea and spoke rarely of it. The family had no pictures of his time there are he was doing things they didn't encourage picture taking about. I wanted to see something he would have also seen to understand the unspoken part of him more.

Also because you all geolocated the WWII pictures I reached out to my old alma matter that has a Jewish studies program. Their Holocaust center did not have pictures other than the famous ones of the crowded camp and thinks these and the others add to the narrative. These pictures are going to be added to the historical record (and Holocaust documentation) because of this group. (Just in case it needs to be said, I donated them). So you folks, pat yourself on the back.
