I always wrote good puppet code (i swear) but ive come across half baked puppet stuff and its NOT deterministic, Puppet is hell incarnate in my experience.

The "puppet" agent, the "consul" and "Puppet master" and "syncing" and having the agents run or not run manually, then youve got the hiera db... another pain
