Hey Chris, thanks for the video it helps a lot. It's a flow / docs issue. Once you have created your org, you can directly start reading the docs at step 2: https://docs.dagger.io/cloud/572923/get-started/#step-2-send-telemetry-to-dagger-cloud

We're replacing that "connect" button with a new UI to guide you through the steps later this week. Pushing you to docs isn't ideal for sure.
The issue here is that we updated the docs and the inline link goes to the wrong anchor now. It should jump here: https://docs.dagger.io/cloud/572923/get-started/#step-2-send-telemetry-to-dagger-cloud

Our docs generate the anchor link based on the heading title. Because I updated the title to clarify that it's not just connecting to CI, it broke that link. Fortunately, the docs still load, but you're taken to the first step in the instructions, which is to sign up.
Fixing this now.

Yes, thank you! We saw a couple duplicate orgs created, so I think others hit the same issue with the docs getting you in a loop.
If anyone hit this issue and created duplicate orgs, let me know. I'll help get your dupe cleaned up.

@bronze otter what steps did you follow? Did the UI signup fail or did you sign up twice after reading docs? I saw two orgs for you today and wanted to reach out. Thank you for messaging here.

It's a UI state problem.
First attempt, i entered org name, pressed enter, clicked FREE plan .. then it booted me back to page 1 of signup, as per the screenshot
I thought, that was strange
then I entered another org name, and pressed enter, and clicked FREE plan
then it booted me back, again..
so I gave up and closed down my browser
i opened it again and went to dagger cloud and after clicking the top left logo a few times, it figured out that I'd made some orgs already
so when clicking FREE plan, that's the trigger point in which it sends me back

@bronze otter to confirm. You didn't see the plan selection the first few times? Or did you get to select the plan and then get kicked back to signup?
I ask because the UX workflow is that wr don't create the org until after you pick a plan.

Did you see this message in the UI when you were signing up? This would be between the step of selecting the plan and the confirmation "welcome" page.
We can repro the issue. We're working on it now.

Update
This issue happens for some people signing up for the Individual plan.
- We confirmed that your orgs are being created
- We have an intermittent frontend error that causes the page to reload the first page of the signup (create an organization)
- We're working to fix the frontend issue so that the page doesn't reload after signing up
Workaround
If you encounter this issue, click the Dagger logo in the top left-hand corner. This will take you to the root of dagger.cloud and your org's homepage.

- We've fixed the issue, and signups should work smoothly now. Thank you to @desert forge and @tame swift !
- We'll be cleaning up the duplicate orgs shortly. I'll reach out via email and the in-app Intercom messenger to ensure we're keeping the org name you prefer. You can also DM me.
