This thread is for folks interested in OpenShift and OKD.

So, I'm sitting in the OKD community call and it look like folks there are trying to come up with a distribution that is more independent of RedHat and OCP.

https://github.com/okd-project/planning/issues/22

I'm listening to them talking about creating a series of Makefiles and thinking
"would this be easier using Dagger? After all, they are just trying to produce a number of images from source repos.
Ideally in a way that's portable and composable."

Investigate the option of switching to the RedHat CRC release to deploy CRC on OKD and then pdate OKD.io site

The Tekton folks are active there and interested in building Tekton with tekton:
https://github.com/tektoncd/community/issues/1083
or at least having an opinionated reference implementation.
Meanwhile, the OKD folks are also interested in a reference implementation for an operator
https://github.com/okd-project/planning/issues/41

@spark cairn , does this interest you?

@frozen moat I would absolutely love to help OKD get more reusable and portable builds. How can we help?.
