Hi all
I'm writing a paper about Dagger before I can finish my bachelor's degree and graduate. As some closing information, I would like to know what the future has in store for Dagger. Obviously there will be more languages that will get support with new SDK's i presume, but are there any new and cool features on the horizon?
Another thing i was wondering is, are there any notable companies that are already using Dagger? Some bigger and well-know companies maybe?
Thanks!

Hi there! We do have some exciting things in the horizon, but before spoiling that it'd be great to know what you think those things could be. Given your research in the CI/CD space and Dagger, what do you imagine we could go from here to add more value to our users and the ecosystem?
well, one thing that i think would be nice, is to be able to see the steps written in a dagger pipeline, as the same separate steps in e.g. Jenkins, because now i'd only see one step in Jenkins, the one that executes the dagger pipeline
Hi @ruby lodge, could you please get back to me on this? 🙂
my apologies @dapper pulsar , completely forgot about this one.
Let me send you a few links of some of the public facing exciting Dagger features that are near the horizon:
Dagger Extensions - Ability to call pipelines across SDK's transparently: https://github.com/dagger/dagger/issues/4796
Project Entrypoint - Define a standard interface for project entrypoint: https://github.com/dagger/dagger/issues/4414
TUI - Experimental terminal UI for dagger: https://github.com/dagger/dagger/discussions/4942
Dagger Cloud - Our SaaS service to improve pipeline visualization, troubleshooting and some other cool stuff we're working on.
I think this will give you some good material to work on and at the same time probably come back with some ideas or questions 🙂
Awesome, thank you very much!!
wow, the Project Entrypoint issue is a very informative dialogue and helped me put purpose and scope into better context.
Its like listening to a Dagger podcast 🥰
