Thank you to the Dagger community for all of your support in 2022! We look forward to what 2023 has in store.

The Dagger team will be on break from December 24th through January 2nd, so our responses in the forums/channels will be slower until we return. Have a great holiday, and we'll see you soon!

Thanks to the recommendation of a community user, @waxen hound , we've added a "demos" forum section to the Dagger Discord.

After each of the community calls, I will add the demo snippets to that forum with a shout out to each speaker's discord handle, so you can easily ask the speaker any follow-up questions that you might have about their presentation.

I look forward to seeing the conversations that this community has in this new forum section!

You can find our upcoming events at the top left of the Discord server. If you mark yourself as "interested", you will get a Discord reminder before the event starts.

Since Discord doesn't support recurring events, you must mark yourself as interested in each event.

** Dagger 0.9: Host-to-container, container-to-host, and other networking improvements**

Today, we are pleased to announce Dagger 0.9, featuring a significantly improved services API that expands Dagger's built-in capabilities and brings us closer to the promise of Application Delivery as Code. This new API adds support for Container-to-Host (C2H) networking, Host-to-Container (H2C) networking, and explicit service lifecycle management.

Introducing Dagger Shell

After hiding in plain sight for the last few months, the Dagger Shell is now launched! Just install the latest dagger CLI, and type 'dagger' to start using it in interactive mode, or 'dagger -c' for batch mode.

Introducing Module Catalog & Module Insights

Today we're launching two new features in Dagger Cloud, that make it easy to standardize and streamline software delivery across all your teams:

  • A private module catalog, continuously updated from changes on your git repos. Each module gets a generated API docs page like on daggerverse, and an activity feed with new versions. You can also navigate versions and dependencies.

  • Module insights show traces in the context of your modules. So you can see in real-time who is using your modules and how; see what version is being used, how well it's performing; and troubleshooting errors.
