After the 1.0 update, synchronized chests such as the void chest, metal chest, pantry, seed chest, wood pile, stone pile and other syncable storage types have lost their items, while small storage box and storage barrel — which are not part of the synchronized system — remain unaffected, so it seems like only the synced chests are affected by this issue.

We just lost our items too in various synched chests, didn't have an issue with the regular small storage. This was today on 1.0.2
