#What does each open mode of a door do?

Looking at a sliding door with a wrench shows a "Open Mode" I can configure.
I was told this was added by Steam 'n' Rails, so I now would like to ask what each mode does exactly.

Right now I kinda understand the "Normal" and "Manual" mode, with the former causing the door on a train to open when stopping at a station (and current door setting at station allowing that) and the later ignoring this and only allowing manual opening and closing.

But what do "Special" and "Special Inverted" do exactly?
The wiki has 0 info on this (Should be added?) and I would like to know what those do exactly (And if there are any other special cases for Normal and manual mode to consider)

Iirc special and special inverted act like redstone doors where "special" opens when redstone powered and "special inverted" opens when not powered

the ponder contains the information

normal mode is like a wooden door, allowing manual opening and closing as well as redstone (or contraption) opening and closing

#

manual mode allows only manual

#

special mode is like an iron door, allowing only redstone (or contraption) opening and closing (on a contraption you can also shift right click it to open)
