Now that we are close to getting a stable release of SnR for Create 6. How about a way to use the Pegboards as a switch overlay.

I can only ever see myself use switches in a large Rail yard where the trains are parked or moved manually.

Maybe brass switches can be connected to buttons / lever objects on the pegboard and you get to act as a Dispatcher remotely changing switches to let the trains move.

this can all be done with redstone links already and i feel like hooking up all the stuff with redstone just makes you feel so good after managing to do it

Well the idea I had in mind was more of a 2 player thing where 1 person is the dispatcher and the trains work themselves. The pegboard can act as a Wireless link to all the Switches on the yard while also providing a scaled down version of the track layout...

I am making up more on this idea as I type

while something like the SnR server might not benefit from this... I can see someone using this to make a minigame about dispatching trains

Hello, a small test of my signalbox monitor. The switches are written in a matrix with coordinates so that the code automatically knows where to change the route to. Also these switches and their state, facing, type are stored in a file so that if the game restarts the last current state is still set.

This computer will be linked to steam'n ra...
