I am currently in the process of switching out my BSNF livery diesel electric from locometal to a more matte finish because those boys fit much better with a matte palette.

In the prime of steam, if you look at steam locos most of them are matte from coal and dirt buildup. I mean look at the stark contrast between some of these locomotives

I can’t speak on behalf of Weido. His patreon schems are free and if I were to assume anything I’d feel he’s moderately indifferent as to what people decide to do with his builds.
