#Track Ballast!

Make gravel held in the off-hand behave like girders when placing track. I think one of the major aesthetic elements missing is ballast (stones) under the track like in real life. Obviously you can place gravel under flat track, but it looks pretty ordinary on inclines. So instead, have a gravel texture which bends and curves like girders do, appearing to evenly support the track above. This would make for really nice smooth inclines without floating track segments.

Have you tried using cobblestone slabs on the track, after it's created?

DBE's got ballast blocks and ballast slabs

I think inclines are possible, but 45 degree tracks gonna look cursed
