Getting a "aws-exports.js not found" build error with nextjs | AWS Amplify | Page 1

It looks like Amplify is not generating this file when buildning and deploying like it should do and says it does in the docs. There are many many posts about this but it seems there is no good solution to this. Am I really forced to put this file i source control to make it work?

What version of NextJs are you using?

I'm on v 14 currently. But the issue seem to be the same on 13.
