Why is the RPS (requests per second) limit 1,000? It doesn't seem feasible for a medium sized application that uses Amplify/AppSync we are currently in the process of getting it bumped on AWS but it's taking quite a long time. Does anyone know why the RPS limit is so low? Thanks

Just want a sanity check as to why it's 1,000 so we can decide if we need to reevaluate our current architecture

Hi @native finch I recall answering this question during an office hours session. The 1k rps is a soft limit and the default for lambdas as well. This can be increased, however, as your app needs to scale.
