Hey there! I‘ve been quite active on this server for a day now and i got my hardware and ideas figured out. The „normal“ Version is not enough for what i want to use it for so i wanted to create my own version.

How do i get started? How do i work on the project? How do i import the project into an ide? How do i modify the arduino code?

Thank you very much in advance!

Hey Guys! Just a quick check up as i tried to find some good guides online.

Depending on what you're wanting to do there are forks available with extra functionality. Search for deej forks and you'll find some that might fit your needs.
You can modify the sketch file that's uploaded to the arduino in Arduino IDE.

I was thinking about doing that! But how would i build the changed arduino code into an executable?

A good question would be: Does deej upload the arduino sketch onto the arduino when being executed?

No, the Aruino sketch is uploaded to the arduino through arduino IDE. Deej just communicates with it.

ALRIGHT THEN I KNOW THE PROBLEM

#

I NEVER HAD THE ARDUINO SKETCH ON THE ARDUINO

#

Thank you very much

This will probably fix all my issues

brave knoll

Yeah that'll do it. Just follow the guide above

I thought the guide started at „how to run“ and not „build your own“

#

In my native language is „build“ closer to „construct“ which i then connected to assembly of the whole thing and not the build of the script.

No problem. Also, sorry the link above isn't a guide but the FAQ if you need help with something specific

It is alright!

Thank you very much for the help!
