How many sliders do you want?

Maybe look into buying sliders from established distributors like digikey then.

In my personal experience cheap sliders from aliexpress worked just fine though.

#

Just search for linear potentiometers in the length that you want

#

@uncut swift There are sliders with integrated leds btw.

#

Like I said earlier best bet is to source it from a site like Digikey that specializes in selling parts

#

If you're buying from Amazon the sliders you're likely getting is going to be the same as any other slider from aliexpress as they're just dropshipping majority of the time.

#

Im using aliexpress sourced sliders and they work fine and are cheap.

#

I put some part links here

That would be some rotary knobs (2 dollars), a Arduino nano (2 dollars), oled screen (not sure what size but like 1.50)

#

Some wires you got lying around (free?)

#

A arduino nano is fine, I would personally get one with Usb C. Pricing probably differs a bit since you're in the UK but I've gotten Nanos for around 2 USD

#

Yeah definitely not based on the prices I listed

#

Just shop around for the best prices on aliexpress

#

You also need to make your own enclosure if you have access to a 3d printer

#

A nano has 8 analog pins, 2 pins will be used for the oled screen so you're left with 6 pins for 6 pots

#

Sounds good, just note that you'll only be able to control the Discord volume as a whole, not individual user volumes

#

I probably wouldn't do solderless if you want something small to mount on your monitor like that guy

#

Also that's a encoder not a potentiometer

#

I don't believe so

#

They're all the same, just make sure its linear

#

Resistance doesn't matter

#

But 10k is common

#

Itll be fine as a hobby kit

#

Nothing fancy but it'll get the job done

#

You realistically don't need the multimeter

#

Sorry for the late reply, I would do not soldered

#

Stick the wire through the hole and solder the wire straight to the board
