im new to this and came here to see the opinion behind the people who actually make the AIs, what are the disadvantages of AI and how does it affect us?
Few things come to mind:

thx! will read it rn\
This is just for generative AI, but you have the issue of DeepFakes and misinformation on the Internet. Also, all AI is trained on massive swaths of data. If the data is not balanced, or has biases hidden amongst it, that will be reflected in its decisions/actions.
Misinformation:

DeepFakes:

Bias:

Other angles include the displacement of creative artists for mediums such as music, text, and art. Consider the ethical and legal ramifications of creating those large datasets that train those AI artists and the impact those AI artists have on the industry.
Looking at the “Truth, Lies and Automation” report from Georgetown University’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology
The Economist and Nicholas Thompson of Wired have both recently posted about deepfakes. Simply put, a deepfake is a computer-generated…
Despite its impressive performance, the world’s newest language model reflects societal biases in gender, race, and religion
Hello,
You can write about how increasing automation puts a lot of people at risk of losing their jobs especially those who are not capable of upskilling themselves (IQ 80 to 100).
Even those who are not in immediate threat of losing their jobs could start losing sleep over the thought that one day a computer might replace them.
AI can also serve to make people less industrious than before by making everyone increasingly rely on it for everything. Why spend a lot of effort and time practicing strokes when you can generate images with a text prompt? Why learn to drive when car drives on its own? Why memorise anything when ChatGPT already remembers?
The control problem, with respect to AGI, is always a fun rabbit hole to go down
As AGI continues to remain in the realm of science fiction, there’s plenty to look at grounded in the real world.
Thx everyone!!! This assignment is going great and its all thx to you!! The subject is ver interesting and exciting:D
