#Quote a picture in my thesis

depends on ur uni really
best to ask ur advisor
thesis stringency varies from what i have seen, if u were to write a research paper, u could likely do that
I wouldn't do it on my thesis. Every publication is expected to have original figures, so I'd go with the same principle with the thesis.
Also, that picture is ridiculously easily to recreate with many different workflow tools.
Every publication is expected to have original figures
Idk where u got that from
But u have probably published more than me so better to take ur word
U could also just modify it a little but creating original pics also makes it more consistent with rest of your work
hi, would you like to tell me the correct way to cite a picture?
For my thesis proposal, I just cited the original paper in the figure caption.
Although I would advise you to create your own figure for your actual thesis, to make it more consistent with the rest of your work as previously suggested. I'm doing it that way and I think it makes the thesis easier to read, which is good if you plan on publishing it somewhere.
Ask your advisor. Each university and each course requires a different type of citation.
