I'm not sure if I'm just doing something wrong but my advanced pump has been extremely finicky since I started using it. It has had a problem pulling oil. At first, I put the pump on the top of an oil spout and just let it run, which worked for a bit until the spout drained too much and the oil level got deeper underground. Then it stopped and wouldn't pull from that height. So I moved it down to meet the oil and it worked again until it drained further. Now I'm in the main chamber of oil and it won't pull any of it even when right on top of the source. Any advice?

I will also say that the height where it would stop pulling seems very low compared to the 48x48 that it is supposed to pull from. Normally around 15-20 blocks before it would quit. Also, it would stop pumping whenever I would relog and wouldn't start without me breaking it.
So I solved the problem. Apparently, most of the oil were not source blocks. I tried to use buckets to grab some oil to keep my distillation going but after 6 or 7 buckets, almost all the oil started to disappear and left a small puddle left. The entire cavern was empty after around 15 buckets worth of oil. That also seems extremely odd since you'd think the cavern would hold the most? Not sure, but here's a picture of the empty cavern for scale.
https://github.com/GregTechCEu/GregTech-Modern/pull/2003 this explains some of the problems, also a potential solution, although I haven't done any GT dev before so don't know if this is too big of a change
