Contacting someone on our team
<@&699829665392492595> are the wonderful people on the team who maintain the safety of Biocord. If a member of staff needs to be contacted, you can ping them in the chat in question.
If you have a sensitive issue or would like to talk to someone away from public eyes, you can DM @heavy light. All Staff can see ModMail messages, and this will be the fastest way to get a response rather than DMing individual staff members.
Common issues to contact staff for and preferred method of contact
- rule breaking in the chat (e.g. using offensive language, conversations becoming uncivilized, spam) - please ping staff directly in the chat
- Unsolicited DMs - Please DM @heavy light with a screenshot of the DM
- Promotion approval - please DM @heavy light
- Question about whether a topic is allowed - please DM @heavy light
Blocking members
If someone is clashing with you or you do not wish to see their messages, we encourage you to block those members. You won't be able to see their messages, but you'll see that their message is hidden.
Being muted
Biocord uses mutes to chat with specific members away from the public eye, and is not used as a punishment. This also does not mean that the muted member will be kicked or banned - it is a way for us to get the attention of someone. Again, being muted is not a punishment. Punishments are given as warnings, kicks, and bans.
Leaving the server and rejoining when muted will result in the account still being muted. You will not be able to evade the mute by leaving and rejoining.
