There may be times when you will have to spoiler a message or an image, even if the content is allowed in Biocord. These include triggering topics and images.
Examples of images that need to be spoilered: spiders, centipedes, bugs, worms and other similar critters. Surgeries, dissections, blood (blood smears for microscopy does not count)
Examples of topics that need to be spoilered: eating disorders and weight; death, suicide, abuse, domestic violence, trauma

How to spoiler a text message

To spoiler a text message, insert || before and after the message so that it looks like this:
||text to spoiler||

You can also use the /spoiler command

It is also helpful to include an Trigger Warning (TW) explanation of the content that was spoilered or triggering:
TW: lab animals ||today we worked with lab mice for the first time||

How to spoiler images on mobile

On Android and iOS you can spoiler images by going into the file explorer or gallery on your device and rename the image to SPOILER_image name before you upload the image. You can also press and hold on the selected image, and a pop-up will appear with an option to spoiler

How to spoiler images on Desktop

Uploaded images can be spoilered while uploading or pasting them from a desktop by selecting Mark as spoiler. The text accompanying the image will not be under spoilers unless you include the ||two bars|| around the text.
