Thanks!! No application portal or anything, recruiter reached out to my on LinkedIn telling me I’d be a fit for certains positions and he applied internally for me after we had an intro call

Yeah so why I think it worked for me:
Capstone Project class I worked with a non-profit tech start-up as an Android Software Engineer. Putting that on my LinkedIn profile brings a lot of views and messages from recruiters.
Recently the head of the start-up proposed to renew my contract for as long as I needed to find a job and so I went back to my LinkedIn and instead of having my experience mention August through December it now says I started in August but that I am still employed as an Android Software Engineer which gets me messages and contacts from recruiters

The only way for a recruiter to see your resume without being in the cold-apply process is to have them look for you instead of you look for them so LinkedIn is the best tool out there. Their work is literally to go get the talents out there which is why they research the web for certain stuff. Having Android Software Engineer on my profile makes it easy for them to find me
