I don't remember if I actually referenced a company, but I told them Nov 1 deadline (which was true at the time), they then asked if I would be able to go through the entire matching process which could take a few weeks

I see, so I took my on-site on October 29, and said I had a Nov 1 deadline, they called me last week if Im still considering Google around Nov 4, and I said I’m asking for an extension

i explicitly got matched to a team as a new grad, met with staff eng on the team, dunno why
