Not sure about your org situation, but in terms of getting a referral, I'd highly recommend not waiting to get one if you don't have one when the app opens out. Getting a referral at Google (or any other big N for that matter) won't help you much/at all

hmm i see. What about just normal referrals? Like how does the conversation for asking a referral go?

but that's probably if you're less familiar with them. If you have a personal relationship with them, you can be more blunt about it
