Canadian here currently debating between these two for summer 2026. Both roles are PM
BitGo
- 50 CAD/hr & 16 weeks (good for me)
- Fully remote (lets me stay at home and I love remote work)
IBM
- 40 USD/hr --> ~55 CAD (12 weeks) + 4k USD housing
- Hybrid in Poughkeepsie (😭)
Notes:
- I already have two "big name" PM internships on my resume: 1 big tech (not FAANG level but still very well known big tech), 1 F500 (not tech company but well known and industry leader, but industry isn't engineering/tech/fintech)
- This is my 3rd internship, I still have 3 more internships after this one until I graduate
- I do not have a car, so from what I know living in poughkeepsie will SUCK
- I really enjoy remote work and I'm pretty interested in crypto
- Can live at home for BitGo and I do somewhat value being able to spend summer w friends family etc, no nobody from BitGo
Priorities: Resume value, pay, enjoyment
