We are excited to discuss a coding challenge with you during our upcoming interview. To give you an idea of what to expect, you will be given a problem and asked to code a solution for it. The problem is designed to assess your ability to break down complex problems into manageable steps. We will start with a basic question and gradually introduce additional requirements.

Brief Overview of the Interview:

  • Objective: Implement a robust solution to the problem, progressing through as many steps as time permits
  • Expectation: We are interested in your approach to writing and refactoring code to progressively solve the problem. You will be evaluated based on your ability to analyze requirements, design an efficient solution, write clean and maintainable code, and effectively communicate your thought process.
  • Resources Available: The purpose of the interview is to provide a practical demonstration of how you would solve a real-life problem. You are encouraged to import any data structures or dependencies that you believe will effectively support a pragmatic solution to the problem.
  • Environment + Language: You are free to use any programming language of your choice. If on-site, we will have a laptop for you to use (feel free to bring your own if preferred). If remote, please be prepared to share your screen to work through the solution.

This will be a live problem-solving session, so there is no need for extensive preparation. The goal is to understand your thought process and approach to understanding requirements and arriving at a solution for a logic-focused problem.
