She gave me question with a few constraints. She said for the time being you can leave out the constraints and give her a high level approach. I gave her approach and code and reconfirmed if this is the output she is expecting. To which she said no and also mentioned the input is different. I had to make changes to my inputs, outputs and overall approach.
Got a graph question, so I was writing out the code and turns out she didn't understand python syntax.
The doc we were on had indentation issues. She asked me to realign 30-40 lines of code
She said my final code returned the wrong result while I was doing the dry run. She didnt event know how the for loop would work.
At the end she said you kept adding stuff to your original code and you can continue completing it after the interview.
I am sure that my given code works.
It’s crazy that before scheduling we chose the desired language
And still the interviewer doesn’t know it 🥴
Wdym you had to make changes to inputs did she not give like example inputs for the problem ?
bruh thats crazy 😭
No she said for time being you can leave out some constraints and parameters. Which changed the question slightly.
I went ahead discussed the inputs, outputs approach and wrote everything.
Then half way through the interview I reconfirmed if this is what we are expecting. Then she said no, this is not what we need and apologised for the confusion. And clarified the inputs and outputs again
Nepo hire
I have emailed recruiting team. Lets see
Geez it sounds like she barely gave you a problem to work with that sucks sorry
I hate how they don’t type and just say the solution so many chances to misinterpret
Maybe that’s part of it
She did paste a part of the question. But said don’t consider x,y,z parts of the question for now.
She sat there while I talked about wrong inputs, outputs and approach 🤡
bruh sounds like an interviewer on a power trip ngl
