CodeBuddy - Chrome extension to Livestream Leetcode
just curious, how's this diff from lc's co-op share mode? u can j create a room and send the link to anyone who needs it
with coop share mode, you share the same editor and work on the same problem. The problem I'm trying to solve is you can work on a problem at your own pace, while still being able to connect with others and see what they're working on. I imagine additional features here would be to gamify your LC experience, i.e race to see who complete the problem first, etc. Does that make sense?
oh okay, that makes a lot of sense. thank you! very cool stuff lol
thank you! Any chance you would want to try out the extension with a couple friends?
yeah totally down to try, just don’t know any friends rn involved in a lc prep process lol (they’re either employed or in school, no in between lol)
ah got it. Our next milestone is for anonymous users to collaborate together, but I expect it won't be useful until the extension has a bigger user base haha
thanks!
Nice! is this for the hackathon?
not a hackathon. I was an avid user for binarysearch, so was sad to see it goes down. The goal was to recreate the functionality without incurring the heavy cost of hosting the infrastructure
circling back to this thread. Quick update for anyone still following, app has grown to 35ish active users. We recently released an in-app chat feature and open sourced the project! https://github.com/nickbar01234/codebuddy
