im smoking reality. Gen AI is hot right now. Every company and their mother wants people with AI experience. working at a reputable firm, like Scale, plus going to a target school like CMU, makes you very competitive

my very first "real" internship

for my field

was 20 hours per week

it helped me land my next internship

which helped me land my full time rle

#

people care about name brands

#

for both schools and firms

#

its the way it works

not saying it's right

but it is what it is

but it's very weird to want to re-tool your resume immediately after starting a new position

you resume workshop to land the position

once you land it, you focus on doing that work

then you re tool

once you're 6 months in

at the new job

or at the end of the internship

if its a shorter term position
