moonpie check dms
the call is at 12:45 and im just sitting here staring at my phone
just got off the call!! i got into team matching
so idk if ill get a offer soon/when BUT ITS SOMETHING
congrats! did you have optimal solutions on your VO?
idek honestly, but i solved 2.5/4? i explained my thought process and my idea though
im just a bit scared if i can solve the initial question but not the followups 😔
ill put my entire process let me type it up and u got this!!
some times they dont have followups? like i really only had 1 interviewer ask them
Role: Software Engineer II, Site Reliability Engineering, Google Cloud
Applied: feb 7th
Reach out: feb 12th
1st round of interviews: march 3rd
1st interviews were 2 coding:
1 tree
1 array
both medium lvl
2nd round:
Hashmap list question (I would say this is a hard problem)
Personality googlyness
3rd round 1 interview 04/04:
map type question dfs/bfs
US or Canada?
US
swe 2 so shouldnt be ng
Yes
Nah I remember this was tagged as "Early"
on google careers
i applied to an early careers google role that stated preferred 1 year exp and in the interview i was told it was for a swe 1 role
ayyo
wait are you on the servers
check dm
how did u prep for technicals?
damn SRE seems easier than SWE then
i did really well on 2 interivews crushed all the follow-ups then fumbled on 1 and still got rejected by hiring committee
it was a variant of basic calculator which doesnt seem too crazy but its harder than it looks atleast for me i still dont understand the logic
thats weird usually l3 is called SWE II
l4 is SWE III
bro called to reject me LMFAO
idk this is just based of my friends LI
similarly with meta
he was SWE II out of undergrad then got promoted to III
at google?
yeah
masters?
nah
weird
imma apply to SRE to see if i get any luck lol
damn the bar must be crazy. seems like 3 hire rounds and 1 no hire
i see people pass without solving one or two questions its all luck i guess
