oh
applied december, got OA january, received email saying I will be schedule soon in late january, got scheduling email a week ago, interviewed today.
How did your interviews go? Mind sharing the process?
3 intervies back to back
- 2 LC medium (quite easy)
- 1/2 behavioral, 1/2 LLD
- all behavioral
what was the llld like?
Damn that's lucky if your rounds went well
Two questions:
- Were LC's from Amazon Tagged?
- For LLD, were you expected to also write complete functions? Or just design classes and what functions each class should have?
it was pretty easy, it's a very standard question that if you search amazon LLD you will find it
the 3rd behavioral was quite hard
- probably, not sure, but if you have finished blind 75 they are very standard patterns
- complete functions. but it was pretty short.
do u have a recruiter or do you get emails from no reply
uhhh I did not have a recruiter until they scheduled my interview, then i had a recruiting coordinator
tbh
i have no idea ๐
its fungible and i think its for all location
so it would depend on team matching i believe
ohh bet okay
but i applied for a lot of zon roles and i dont remember if this one had location attached or not
got it .. good luck
Can I dm?
On jan28? U got email moving forward
Actually I just checked, got that email Feb 19
So it took a longgggg time between OA and email saying I passed
gratsss
Passed the OA ๐ still waiting on results from the interview
I gave the OA in Jan but still haven't heard anything back. On the portal it still says submitted.
Does it mean there's still a possibility to receive an interview scheduling email?
anyone gave oa in Jan end and didn't hear back?
me
Yes definitely still a chance
Were you already prepped?
@prisma garden how did you prep lc and lld?
So for LC, do NC 150. Blind 75 maybe enough. It depends on RNG. I got asked easy questions, some people get asked hard ones so make sure you overprepare
For LLD, look up common Amazon LLD. I got asked a very common one. Make sure to communicate with the interviewer to clarify design
Also, make sure to prep 5-10 behavioral stories for STAR, based on Amazon leadership principlws
Finally, make sure that before the interview you are in a good mental state and well rested. For me I noticed not drinking caffeine or eating very much before the interview worked the best. I also made sure that for two days before the interview I just spent quality time with friends and doing stuff I enjoy instead of studying so my head was in the right space
also what team?
Is it okay if we make up stories for the behavioural questions?
what if you get pressed on details and can't back it up? what if they ask for proof?
yes you can always lie in any circumstance, the question is if you can keep up the lie. and what if you have to work with these people?
i think if you do some soul searching, you will be able to find a way to make your own life sound impressive. there are probably some achievements you have that are quite interesting, even if they dont seem that way to you.
