Hey, I did figure it out but our situations are slightly different. You're doing back-to-back winter/summer and I'm doing summer/fall.

My understanding is that you must be a full-time student when you apply for the j-1. I'm a full-time student right now so I can apply for my summer visa. When I apply for my fall visa during the summer, I'm still a "full-time" student because the summer semester is an unofficial term. Therefore, I'm still a full-time student in the summer because I was a full-time student in the last official term, which was jan-apr.

Whereas for you, you might have difficulties applying for a summer visa since you are currently not a full-time student.

That's just my understanding so I'd reccoment you get in touch with your school and recruiter

Yeah thats tru. Im hoping with a letter of enrollment from last semester i should be good or something of the sort, but ill reach out to both the school and recruiter. Thank you!
